2009 Chinese New Year - Lion dance
This was the first year i celebrated my Chinese New Year at oversea (actually i was missing my homemade's steamboat that time). Our restaurant used to have a lion dance during Chinese New Year every year. This event is to rewarding the support of our regular customers and served with a special dishes such as malaysia's chicken curry, beef rendang, chicken satay...etc.
Lion dance is a form of traditional dance in Chinese culture, in which performers mimic a lion's movements in a lion costume. As we known, if the dance is done correctly, it is believed that will bring happiness and luck and will scare off evil away.
